Kayla's Hands

March 9, 2022

The world is a dangerous place. Always has been. There are moments of light now and then but too often the darkness overcomes. Presently there are many lights in our darkness, humanitarian non-profit organizations that attract all kinds of people, young and old, to undertake important, sometimes dangerous activities to heal, feed, shelter, protect those in need.

One individual who answered that call was a young women from Prescott Arizona whose name was Kayla Mueller. Her journey took her to a Doctors Without Borders Hospital in Allepo, Syria where she served until August, 2013 when she was kidnapped by one of the most brutal Islamic terrorist groups.

Kayla and the other woman were taken to be wives of the raiders. They were dressed on black robes and served as wives of the terrorists. Kayla was selected to be the wife of the leader who raped and brutalized her until she died in February, 2015.

In her memory, a humanitarian group named ‘Kayla’s Hands’ has been established to continue her ministry. ‘Kayla’s Hands’ is a beacon of light in a darkened world.
