There is a lot of shooting going on around us—or through us or in us. Everywhere.  And there will be more. If there are a thousand people and one gun, there won’t be many shots fired during an ordinary day. If there are a thousand people and a thousand guns, and that is the case in our country, there will be many shots fired during an ordinary day.

Legislation, policies, restrictions, laws, training, family influence—there may be all kinds of efforts to control the use of guns, and those efforts will doubtless have some effect, but in the end, the more guns, the more triggers, the more triggers, the more fingers on triggers, the more fingers on triggers, the more pulled triggers, the more pulled triggers, the more . . . .
